Without the video, I never would have figured out how to replace the battery, even though I can usually work my way through most anything. Very easy to follow. One note though, that spring loaded retainer in the antenna can (and did) shoot out like the spring-loaded snake in the can. Fortunately I found both pieces.
Addendum 4-2013 I had to replace the battery again after 2 years - so this may be what we can expect from NewPower99 replacements. The prior NP99 was a 1500ma, and the current one is 1150 - so it may not go as long between charges.

Great, but one major caveat

After watching the installation video I found the battery replacement to be simple; much less complicated than, say, an iPod battery.
Another reviewer mentioned being careful when the receiver antenna hinge spring was removed, a very good point. It didn't happen to me -- I was very careful removing the spring and hinge pin -- but I can see that it could be easy to lose spring-loaded parts.
The Torx screwdriver included with my battery was a T4 which removed three of my nuvi screws and partially stripped the fourth. Luckily, I had a Torx T5 screwdriver -- the correct size -- which removed the fourth screw and easily re-installed all screws. No problem with the Philips screwdriver, however.

My Garmin battery was fried and would not hold a charge. Ordered replacement battery, arrived in a couple of days, watched the video, even paused it to be sure I was doing it right. Well everything went as the video showed. Charged the battery and discharged it and works great!!!

I received my battery & kit in two days! Everything was there. The video was perfect. I will definitely look to NewPower99 when I need to replace batteries.

Easy as pie!! Just follow the video and it's done. I would reccomend that after you remove the spring from the receiver that you put the two receiver screws back in while you complete the battery removal. The keeps the receiver from coming apart during the other process'! Other than that, it was a very easy installation!!
